Spurthy College of Pharmacy:


The Spurthy College of Pharmacy was established in 2019 in Marasur, offering both undergraduate and diploma courses in pharmacy. The institution is part of the Sri Venkatadri Higher Education Trust, which was founded by the late Sri Gopala Reddy P. of Bangalore—a dedicated medical professional and citizen. The campus enjoys a pleasant climate year-round, providing an ideal learning environment for students. It is well-connected by all modes of transport and offers state-of-the-art facilities to young aspirants.


The pharmacy program prepares students for careers in pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare by blending scientific knowledge with practical training. Spurthy College of Pharmacy offers two full time courses affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka and Board of Examining Authority, Karnataka, approved by All India Council for Technical Education New Delhi and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

Undergraduate Curriculum:

The curriculum blends theoretical knowledge with lab work and clinical exposure, preparing students for roles in pharma industries and healthcare sectors.

Admission Requirements:

First year B.Pharm: Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognised as equivalent to 10+2examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M) and or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects individually with a minimum of 40% aggregate for general category and 35% for SC/ST/OBC categories.


B.Pharm lateral entry (to third semester): A pass in D. Pharm. course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act. 3.


D.Pharm: The candidates should have passed the two years P.U.C. Examination of Karnataka P.U.C. Board or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board in any combination comprising P.C.M. or P.C.B. or P.C.M.B, P.C. and computer Sciences, P.C. and Electronics.
